The market is hot, and I am sure selling your home has crossed your mind a few times. It’s crossed mine!
Maybe you’ve thought about selling your home on your own without a Realtor?
As an experienced Realtor I can tell you it's not for everyone. There are so many things to consider.
Do you have the energy to take advantage of every possible opportunity to market your home? Can you rush home at the drop of a hat to show your home? Is the person looking at your home qualified to buy it? The answer is probably NO.
Selling Real Estate has many variables, a lot of moving parts and carries an enormous amount of risk to take on by yourself.
Here are my 5 reasons why you need to hire a Realtor to sell your home or property.
🤑 More Money

🧑🏻⚖️ Legal Risk
The Contract is a Legal Binding Document. You accept legal responsibility when filling out the Real Estate Sale Agreement. It’s too big of a risk and a huge amount of money for the average person to handle.
🌎 The Largest Network
Only Real Estate Agents have access to the MLS ‘Multiple Listing Service’. The MLS is the best way to market your house.
⚠️ Most Agents Will Not Show ‘For Sale by Owner’
There isn't a guaranteed commission for a buyer's agent to show a FSBO. Sellers want to save $ which means they don't want to pay commissions. Agents will not work for free.
🚩 Weed Out Unqualified Buyers
Is the person looking at your home pre-approved for the amount you're selling your house for? Real Estate Agents know the right questions to ask and can verify funds with the lender. Lenders will not give out that information to FSBO Sellers.
Hopefully this post has swayed your decision to hire a real estate agent to sell your home or property. If not, I hope you found this helpful for your FSBO journey.
